Cross Spike Version or Spike Free Version?

From an optical standpoint, the Cross Spike Version introduces minimal obstruction and can deliver slightly sharper images. If you do not like diffraction spikes, or if you need to rotate the CAA very often, the Spike-Free Version is the better choice. However, unlike a refractor, residual diffraction artifacts may still be visible in bright stars due to factors such as stress in the Schmidt corrector plate, although the results are significantly cleaner than with traditional solutions.

Patented Design Eliminates Cables
A specially designed PCB spans the optical path, completely eliminating the need for cables in the light path. The result is cleaner diffraction patterns and improved image quality, addressing one of the most common challenges faced by RASA and HyperStar users.

Eliminate Cable-Induced Diffraction Spikes
After dozens of design iterations and extensive testing, WandererAstro developed a spike-free design with an S-shaped PCB that is only 3–4 mm wide. RASA and HyperStar systems can now produce refractor-like, spike-free star images.
Multiple USB and Power Ports
RASA 11/36 and HyperStar 11/14 models feature one USB 3.0 port, one USB 2.0 port, and one 12V power port. RASA/HyperStar 6/8 models include two USB 2.0 ports and one 12V power port. The 12V port supports up to 3A; for continuous use, 2A or less is recommended (85% camera cooling power or below).
Rich Accessory
Two bracket lengths are included to support different camera body lengths and the differing back-focus requirements of RASA and HyperStar systems. Short USB and DC cables are also included.
Compatible with Dew Shield and Heater
The bracket uses a non-destructive installation design and is fully compatible with the original Celestron dew shield and most third-party dew shields, as well as the original Celestron dew heater ring.
