Cross Spike Version or Spike Free Version?

From an optical standpoint, the Cross Spike Version introduces minimal obstruction and can deliver slightly sharper images. If you do not like diffraction spikes, or if you need to rotate the CAA very often, the Spike-Free Version is the better choice. However, unlike a refractor, residual diffraction artifacts may still be visible in bright stars due to factors such as stress in the Schmidt corrector plate, although the results are significantly cleaner than with traditional solutions.

Patented Design Eliminates Cables
A specially designed PCB spans the optical path, completely eliminating the need for cables in the light path. The result is cleaner diffraction patterns and improved image quality, addressing one of the most common challenges faced by RASA and HyperStar users.

Stunning Cross-Shaped Diffraction Spikes
After dozens of design iterations and extensive testing, WandererAstro perfected the cross-spike design. Combined with an ultra-thin 1.6 mm PCB and a front anti-reflection baffle, it allows RASA and HyperStar systems to produce beautiful, symmetrical diffraction spikes that rival those of premium Newtonian telescopes.
Multiple USB and Power Ports
RASA 11/36 and HyperStar 11/14 models feature one USB 3.0 port, two USB 2.0 ports, and one 12 V power port. RASA/HyperStar 6/8 models include two USB 2.0 ports and one 12 V power port. The spider can be adjusted fore/aft and left/right for precise diffraction spike alignment. The 12 V port supports up to 3A.
Rich Accessory
Two bracket lengths are included to support different camera body lengths and the differing back-focus requirements of RASA and HyperStar systems. Short USB and DC cables are also included.
Compatible with Dew Shield and Heater
The bracket uses a non-destructive installation design and is fully compatible with the original Celestron dew shield and most third-party dew shields, as well as the original Celestron dew heater ring.
